WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announced that Main Line Health, a non-profit health system serving the greater Philadelphia region, has successfully implemented eClinicalWorks comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) solution across 42 practices and is building on this by implementing additional practices and capabilities, including enhanced interoperability. Multiple Main Line Health practices have been recognized by the NCQA as Patient-centered Medical Homes, partly based on their ability to successfully utilize this EMR platform, and more than 100 providers have successfully demonstrated meaningful use of an EHR.
“We have worked closely with our community physicians to equip them with the latest in electronic health records technology to enhance the continuity of patient care,” said Matthew L. Crawley, PhD, MHSA, Director of the Community Technology Program at Main Line Health. “We have received an overwhelmingly positive response from these practices during the process. Having dedicated eClinicalWorks staff onsite, including an EHR Implementation Specialist, was instrumental in guiding us through the process, improving workflows and easing the transition. We look forward to continuing our relationship.”
“Electronic health records help provide accurate, real-time information on our patients and allow us to monitor their care whether they are seen in our practice or at another site,” said Ernie Gillan, M.D., chair of Family Medicine for Paoli Hospital, Partner at Paoli Family Medicine. “This enhanced coordination has given us better information to make decisions at the point of care. In fact, utilizing eClinicalWorks has aided us in the difficult process of becoming a Level 3 Patient-centered Medical Home.”
All physicians using eClinicalWorks through Main Line Health receive electronic results for labs, radiology and reports with further interoperability to occur this year along with a continuity of care document exchange with practices and the health system. Several practices, including Paoli Family Medicine and the Medical Group at Marple Commons, have achieved NCQA Patient-centered Medical Home recognition, Level II or higher, since using the eClinicalWorks EHR.
“eClinicalWorks works closely with its customers, including Main Line Health, to get practices live on technologically advanced solutions as quickly and successfully as possible,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “We share the same goals as Main Line Health in offering its community practices a system that is comprehensive, easy to deploy and simple to use. We are encouraged by the success shown by its practices and are excited to extend this work further.”
